Ukraine’s state-owned Ukroboronprom has signed a $86 million contract to support and repair Pakistan military’s T-80UD tanks.
The agreement was finalized at the ongoing IDEX-21 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Yuri Gusev, CEO of the company, said they have also discussed the supply of 6TD-1 and 6TD-2 engines with Pakistan, that powers the army’s al-Khalid I tanks derived from China’s Type 90-IIM.
Pakistan bought T-80UDs in the mid-1990s. It has some features of the modern T-84, including new turrets.
