Ukraine’s Kharkiv Armored Plant said it shipped a consignment of deeply modernized T-64 tanks to the armed forces recently.
The tank modernization project was launched in 2017. T-64s are now fitted with an updated night vision sight, a modern radio station, a new upgraded engine and more, Ukroboronprom said in a release.
The military received a batch of modernized T-64 and T-72 tanks in March. The tanks are equipped with the latest communication systems and fire control, instrumentation day and night vision reversing camera, smoke grenade systems and dynamic protection against cumulative shells.
