Ukrainian air defense systems shot down two Russian Su-30SM aircraft in the country’s south on Wednesday evening.
“A pair of fighter jets manned by the occupation forces attempted to attack a village in Odess region. The anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Command South destroyed both warplanes,” the Ukrainian military said in a Facebook statement.
The pilots ejected, the military added.
